5 Year Plan

Maryhill Housing wants to provide the best homes and create places where people want to live, work and play. As part of this commitment we have developed an Asset Management Strategy which describes how we will make sure we make the right investment at the right time. We continually invest in our homes and will keep doing so to make sure they meet our customers expectations.

Our 5 Year Investment Programme has been developed from information we have on our housing stock. This Programme has now been approved by our Board and covers a wide scope of works for the next 5 years including:

  • Feasibility study of heating to multi-storeys and deck access blocks
  • Environmental upgrade works including binstores, steps, walls, paths and backcourts
  • CCTV upgrade at the Glenavon and “mini multis” flats
  • Foyer upgrade at the Glenavon and “mini multis” flats
  • Door entry systems including close doors
  • Kitchen , bathroom and rewire works
  • Stonework repairs
  • Common close upgrade
  • Close lighting and public lighting upgrade
  • Roofing renewal and roof repairs
  • Central heating renewal
  • Window renewal
  • Front door renewal
  • Access, balconies, decks and balustrade renewal
  • Chimney Inspection and repairs
  • Renewal of communal fans
  • Gable insulation and upgrade
  • Compliance works for the Energy Efficiency for Scottish Social Landlords standard (EESSH) 
  • Stage 3 Medical Adaptations where the inside of a property such as a bathroom has to be altered to meet the tenant’s health needs

We will be investing each year around £3m in each year of the plan from 2016 onwards.
