At Maryhill Housing we want to know your views on the level of our annual rent increase from April 2022. Please take the time to respond and be in with a chance of winning one of two £50 shopping vouchers.
We want our rents to remain affordable to those in housing need, be comparable with other Housing Associations and cover our running costs and future provision for major repairs and improvements.
In April 2021, the Maryhill Housing Board decided to apply a rent freeze due to the impact of Covid-19. Unfortunately, due to our long-term financial commitments and increasing costs such as materials, we are unable to offer a further rent freeze this year.
The priorities for the Association over the next few years are to continue with planned improvement works such as replacing old electric storage heaters, bathroom/kitchen upgrades, boiler replacement and repairs to stonework on our tenement properties.
After considering a range of options, our Board is proposing a rent increase of 2.7% from 1st April 2022. Our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ leaflet contains more information.

All responses will be considered by the Maryhill Housing Board who will make a decision in January 2022 on the level of rent increase that will apply to all customers. You will be notified of your new rent in February 2022.
