Glasgow City Council (GCC) have identified the North Kelvin and North Woodside areas as being negatively affected by commuter parking and obstructive parking practices.
This affects access by emergency services, delivery and refuse collection vehicles, creates road safety issues for vulnerable road users (including pedestrians) and causes issues for residents and their visitors as they struggle to find convenient places to park.
GCC are proposing to introduce parking controls throughout the area. Full details of the proposals as well as the affected areas can be found here: https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=48649&p=0
Any person wishing to respond to the proposals must submit this in writing to Kevin Hamilton, Head of Roads, Neighbourhoods and Sustainability, Exchange House, 231 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RX or email NorthKelvinAndNorthWoodside@glasgow.gov.uk by Friday 27th March 2020.
