We are aware of an article by Caroline Wilson which features in today’s (Friday 11th December 2020) Glasgow Times and The Herald.

We are pleased to confirm that we have procured a Governance consultant to work with the Association’s Board from autumn 2020 to autumn 2021.

The Governance consultant will support the Board to work together effectively.  The appointment of an external governance consultant every three years is considered best practice for all Housing Associations and we are confident that this commission offers good value for money for all of our customers.

We note that Ms Wilson’s article also refers to Board members being warned about “using their position to their advantage” with regards to rent arrears.  We wish to clarify this as it is both misleading and incorrect.

We can categorically state that we have not issued a warning to any Board members regarding rent arrears nor have we warned Board members about using their position to their advantage at any point.  We can confirm that we do not have any Board members in rent arrears at this time.
