Scottish Water have confirmed that normal water supplies have been restored to the areas affected by the burst water main yesterday (Tuesday 22nd January).

Teams have worked through the night to restore supplies for all customers affected.

Repair work is ongoing and Milngavie Road, Bearsden has re-opened to traffic.

Scottish Water is committed to helping a number of householders who have been affected by flooding as a result of the burst and is working with agencies to ensure customers receive the support they require. Scottish Water customer service staff remain on-site.

Some Scottish Water customers may still experience discoloured water following the repair. If this happens, the advice from Scottish Water is to run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.

There may be a very small number of Scottish Water customers with airlocks in their systems following the burst that is preventing water coming through. If that is the case, please call the Scottish Water contact centre on 0800 0778 778.

Scottish Water would like to offer sincere apologies to all those affected by the burst and thank customers for their patience and understanding.
