Glasgow City Council's (GCC) bin collectors and street cleaners will go on strike for one week from today, Monday 1st November 2021.  This will affect all rubbish collection services as well as the local waste disposal centres.

During this time, Maryhill Housing will not be collecting any bulk waste because we will not be able to dispose of this safely.  Please do not put any bulk waste out in bin areas for collection.

Communal bin areas are likely to become full quickly so please use your recycling bins as much as possible and please wash out all food containers before disposing of them to avoid the risk of attracting vermin.

Whilst the GCC cleansing teams are on strike, our focus will be on addressing any bin areas that are posing a fire and/or health and safety risk and we have set up some contingency arrangements to deal with these.

Please note that we are not able to offer a full waste collection service.

If you have concerns about the health and safety standards of your bin area during this time, please contact us by calling 0141 946 2466 or emailing enquiries@maryhill.org.uk
