APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE WINTER 2024 CUSTOMER KITTY
APPLY BY WEDNESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY

Following tenant feedback, we have made some slight changes to this round of the Customer Kitty. Applications are now open for two separate streams.

Stream one is for families in financial hardship. It can be used for clothing or split between clothing and trips. Due to a restricted budget, we anticipate that we will only be able to make awards of £100 to 40 households. Those who apply and are unsuccessful will be kept on file, and if more funds ever become available, will be contacted and awarded at that point.

Stream two is for all residents looking for some form of educational support or learning. For example, this may be for a Chromebook/tablet for studies, books, equipment or materials required for courses, uniforms for courses, clothing for an interview or a contribution towards a course. We have £2500 available for this, so again, it will be first come, first served to those who demonstrate they are in low-income households and how the item will benefit their situation in the long term.

We understand that customers may be disappointed by these changes. For the last round, we received 197 applications, which was a considerable increase from those we received for the 22/23 Kitty. Applications continue to grow each round, and, unfortunately, it is not feasible to support that many applicants from our budget.
