An ambitious project to replace the existing electric storage heaters which are currently installed in our ‘mini-multi’ properties will soon be underway.
We have awarded a contract for the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps to Turner Property Services Ltd (known as Turner Services). Works are due to commence on 19th April 2021.
Turner Services will replace the existing outdated heating systems in 330 properties with a new, highly-efficient, Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) heating and hot water system. ASHP's are a renewable technology which take heat from the air and increase it to a higher temperature using a heat pump. They produce lower carbon emissions (and therefore reduce your carbon footprint) compared to other more traditional heating systems and are central to achieving the UK Government's 'net zero' emissions target. They are also easy to install and require little maintenance.
Customers in the mini-multi blocks will shortly begin to receive letters from us confirming when the works will start. This will be on a phased basis, with the first blocks in the programme receiving their letters first and the others following very soon afterwards. A Customer Liaison Officer from Turner Services will be available to answer any questions you may have in relation to the project. A full list of appropriate contact details will be provided in due course.
Maryhill Housing are committed to providing great homes in strong and thriving communities and this exciting new project will enable a significant number of our customers to benefit from a more efficient and effective heating system. We will continue to provide customers with regular updates on the progress of the project via our website, social media and newsletters.
