We want your views on two rent increase options for April 2026: 5.8% or 6.3%.

We are legally required to ask tenants about our proposals for increasing rents. We recognise the importance of seeking feedback from our tenants and are proposing options which keep the rent increase as low as possible, while supporting our investment and maintenance priorities, and ensuring the Association’s financial health.

The costs of providing landlord services continue to rise due to increasing demands around health and safety requirements, property condition, and support for our most vulnerable tenants. We are also facing additional costs following the withdrawal or reduction of council services such as pest control, bulk uplifts and fly-tipping removal. These continuing cost increases have to be funded from your rent.

The letter and leaflet that tenants will shortly receive in the post mark the start of the consultation period. The Board of Maryhill Housing will decide on next year’s rent increase in January 2026 and will take into account the views of tenants when it makes that decision. Tenants will get at least four weeks’ notice of any increase to their rent.

Once you have read the letter and the leaflet, we would appreciate it if you could take part in our rent consultation.

All returned forms will be entered into a free prize draw with the chance of winning one of four £50 Love2Shop vouchers.
