We offer a fully-funded role with a  degree award at the end of it.  Training will include practical experience in all areas of our Property Team; offering a broader understanding of how the Property Team operates and getting involved in interesting and challenging work.  All this and, at the same time, you’ll be earning a competitive salary.

What you will do
You will effectively undertake a range of duties across the Property Team, ensuring a customer-focused delivery of all property services.  You will assist the team to ensure that best practice, quality and efficiency are at the heart of the service delivered to our customers.  You will acquire and develop knowledge whilst contributing to all aspects of the Property Team to ensure effective service delivery by carrying out inspections, raising repairs, and responding to customer enquiries and complaints.

The role will be focused on reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance and improvements, medical adaptations and void property repairs.  You will also be involved in asset management, factoring and customer services.

We are searching for someone with a curious mind who asks questions and has a real willingness to learn.  You will be committed to delivering excellent customer service and value for money in everything you do.  We need you to be able to work independently and as part of the wider team.  

We are looking for someone with the right attitude and approach who can respond positively and flexibly to change.  You will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to demonstrate an organised approach to work.  You will also have excellent IT skills and be confident using Microsoft Office packages.

Qualifications required
It is our intention for the Trainee Property Officer to work towards a degree in Construction & the Built Environment, although we are flexible around the degree which you will complete.

For most courses the entry requirements are a minimum of 4 Highers at B or above (or equivalent), plus National 5 English and Maths at C or above (or equivalent).  Alternatively, if you have a relevant Foundation or Modern Apprenticeship, you will be considered for the course.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure check.
 
What’s on offer
This role has a salary banding of £21,323 - £24,112 (EVH Grade 4) and you will work towards a fully-funded 3 or 4 year degree qualification relevant to the role.  In addition, you will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes 25 days' annual leave, 15 public holiday days and access to a contributory pension scheme.
