Please note that this role will be based in our Shiskine Place retirement housing complex.  In addition, you will also be required to cover our Oran Place retirement housing complex for a temporary period of time.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a Retirement Housing Officer who will provide a service to tenants living in Maryhill Housing’s Retirement Housing and contribute to the general housing management service to tenants in the complex.  You will establish friendly relations with all tenants and encourage independence, signposting to other agencies where required.  You will encourage tenants to participate in decisions which affect them and to advocate and actively promote choice for tenants in their daily living.

To be successful in the Retirement Housing Officer role, you will have experience working in a customer-focused environment and supporting vulnerable customers.  You will require excellent communication skills and have the ability to respond positively and flexibly to change.  You will strive to continuously improve our services; therefore you require having experience of liaising and negotiating with other agencies to access services or resources for customers.  You will also have an awareness of relevant housing legislation, as well as excellent IT skills for use on Microsoft Office packages and in-house systems.

On Offer
This is a part-time role for 28 hours a week for a fixed term of 12 months.  Hours will be worked between Monday and Friday (8.30am - 4.30pm) although there is a requirement for some occasional evening working.  This role comes with a salary banding of EVH Grade TAS  4 (£24,112 - £25,044) (pro rata).
