Based in the north of Glasgow, Maryhill Housing has been established for over 40 years. We own over 3100 rented properties and provide a factoring service to over 700 units. We offer a rewarding work environment and, as a valued employee, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to both our local community and to people’s lives.
Due to an internal secondment, we are currently looking to recruit a temporary Neighbourhood Officer for a 6 month period onto our dayshift Neighbourhood Team.
The role involves general estate management, security, call-handling, customer service, caretaking and minor repairs across Maryhill Housing's properties. We're looking for someone who can do all of this to a high standard and with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be able to provide a friendly, positive attitude to customers and have good communication skills. You will be an excellent problem solver and will be able to plan and organise your own workload. You will have experience of working in a similar concierge-type or customer-focused service. You must hold a full and valid driving licence.
It would be desirable for you to have experience working with Health & Safety and have some knowledge of CCTV systems and/or cleaning machinery and agents. If you have experience of working in one of the trade professions, this would also be advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a basic Disclosure Scotland check.
This is a temporary role for a period of 6 months, with a salary banding of £21,323 - £22,250 per year (EVH grade TAS3). In addition, you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes 32 days leave, including 15 public holidays, and access to a contributory pension scheme. This is a shift-working role, with a work pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off. Shifts are between 8am and 8pm.
