About the Association

In 2007 the Association was 30 years old. It was was originally formed in 1977 as Eastpark Housing Association. It began because local people were concerned about the decline in the area and the proposal for a motorway through it. To date we have improved or built 821 houses and manage 330 houses and businesses. We also have 22 shared ownership units.

The Association is a registered charitable organisation, community based, operating in the Maryhill and Ruchill areas. It is also community controlled as it is run by the members of the Association. For £1 you can be a lifetime member of the Association. This allows you to vote at annual general meetings and stand for committee yourself. See What is Maryhill Housing Association
